Jeff & Danielle's Rockin' Wedding Day
You may remember Jeff & Danielle from one of our engagement sessions a few months back. Well, today we're going to look back at their September wedding day.
This particular wedding is near to my heart. The groom, Jeff, experienced some very serious heart-related health issues, shortly before the wedding day. Not everyone knows this, but the same thing happened with my own wedding. About two weeks before our own ceremony, my (now) wife collapsed with a pulmonary embolism, requiring very tricky surgery. While our wedding had to be postponed, Jeff and Danielle were able to move ahead with their date, though the planning process and the wedding day itself were at a slower pace.
Getting the chance to work with Jeff & Danielle was special. We understood what they were going through. We were happy to know that, in some way, we could make this difficult time in their life together a bit less stressful, a bit happier. We were excited to see their vision come to life after all the roadblocks.
And their vision really did come to life. The small ceremony was on a bridge over Tumwater Falls, with their closest friends and family. The reception were born out of Jeff and Danielle's shared love of classic rock and roll. The reception featured backstage passes for the guests, a guitar guestbook, and custom guitar picks. We even made some rock references within their wedding photos. See how many you can spot!

Danielle and I want to thank you for your generosity with your time and patience. When I became sick a second time a month before our wedding with congestive heart failure I was concerned if Danielle and I were going to be able to pull off our wedding. When we told you guys about it, you were nice enough to share that you experienced a similar situation as well as what you went through and that really made us feel good that you guys understood our situation. We had to change many things with the wedding, the food, the pace of things etc but, we were able to pull off an amazing day.
When Danielle and I first met you two to see if we wanted to hire you for our wedding we knew right away that you guys were the right ones for us. We met with other photographers and none of them was close to how excited you were about or vision, some of them simply told us they wouldn’t be able to make our vision happen. Some people though talk a good game but are not able to back up what they say or promise you and Hanna were able to back it up and more. The pictures you took of our engagement photos were awesome even though you had to battle the lighting issues etc while at the EMP. We had so many great shots from that day and used one of the pictures for our save the date cards and another picture for our VIP pass for our wedding. Danielle and I looked at our wedding pictures and were blown away at how many great pictures and special moments of our great day you took. You guys were able to capture our vision perfectly and took some really great shots that we never even thought about but once we saw them were like “rock on that’s perfect”. Jason you and Hanna have been the consummate professionals throughout this whole process and you are just two genuinely great people.
On my wedding day I got to marry the love of my life, the most beautiful person I have ever met inside and out. On our special day, we were surrounded by our family and friends and you were able to capture so many amazing moments with each other and our family and friends.
