When talking about family photos, Jaina said, "We're very married." 

Jaina was visiting her mother (our neighbor) over Mother's Day weekend when she asked us if we could do a last-minute family session for her and her husband Chris. Thankfully our schedule had just cleared, so we were able to fit them into a Saturday morning for a fun and relaxed hour-long session. Jaina's mom sent her out with rules, such as "no duck lips." So, of course, we had to break them. As soon as we started the session, Chris and Jaina were having fun making faces, giving each other piggyback rides, biting each others noses, pretending seriousness, and generally enjoying themselves as a "very married" couple can do so well. 

In the silliness and laughter, Chris and Jaina's relationship shone. We captured their deep love and their friendship because they were able to be themselves. 

Photo sessions should be about showing your relationship first and foremost. If you're goofy, let's get some goofy photos. If you're both self-proclaimed hipsters, let's take the most tastefully hipster photos possible. If you both like hiking, let's hit the trails.
