It's common knowledge here in Western Washington that the summers are what make up for the wholly dreary weather we experience the rest of the year. Short, wet days give way to beautiful blue skies, blooming plants of all kinds, and warm days.

Which might explain some of our fascination with barn weddings here in the pacific northwest, but I digress.

Brandon & Kindra's wedding took place at Red Barn Studios on one of the hottest days of the year. Now, one of the really nice things about the location they chose is the owners-- they're a pair of photographers who sculpted the location to their ideal. Good lighting, good layout, gorgeous backgrounds. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place! The ceremony took place underneath a large tree (to everyone's delight), which was just a short walk down a road hedged in by sunflowers. Thankfully, it was *just* large enough that folks were able to run a bit of a tram system for some of the older attendees, so no one was left out in the heat.

The reception took place inside the upper level of the namesake Red Barn, with dancing, music, and the largest air conditioner that I have ever seen in my entire life. (Which shortly became one of the preferred locations for most of the dancers). Brandon and Kindra ended the evening surrounded by friends, family, and their crazy tutu-ed dog.

It was a good day.
