I met Stephanie my freshman year at college. I remember thinking, "Why is an older, cooler girl suddenly trying to make friends with me?"

Fast forward about six years of drive-in movies, road trips, shared holidays, sickness, and a wedding. Steph has been there, just as she has been there for the myriad of other friends who love her. Joey is the same way, outgoing and easy to talk to, a reliable and loving friend.

With such hearts, it's little wonder that Joey and Steph's wedding would so uniquely reflect their love for God, friends, and each other. They started their first look reading love letters written to each other. Their ceremony included a unity wood carving during a worship session. Their decorations reflected their love for the outdoors and also their deep love for God. They even had thought of the kids, setting up a "campground" for them to play at during the reception. Steph even surprised her sister Lauren with a birthday cupcake, and she surprised Joey with a song she'd written for him. They opened the dance floor to other fathers and daughters and mothers and sons, and they included a Polish group dance that the youth group kids would remember from their mission trip. Everything overflowed from a love for others.

Love attracts love. Joey and Steph's family and friends spent hours transforming the church into a campgrounds to match their hiking engagement (see if you can find the log we harvested). The church was filled to the brim with people who wanted to be a part of their special day. A mentor who couldn't be there surprised the couple with a toast over speaker phone. And, when Joey's car broke down in the church parking lot, his groomsmen immediately opened the hood and did whatever they could to fix it at their own expense.
