Mt. Rainier's always kind of an unpredictable place to shoot. Between the awful cell-reception and swift-changing weather, it can present an interesting challenge, especially if parts of the park happen to be closed.
And wouldn't ya know it, that's exactly what happened when we went up for Dan & Rachel's engagement shoot! Icey roads (calling for chains and some careful 4-wheel driving), closed roads to Paradise, and unusable phones, our session ended up starting about 2 hours later than planned.
And a few hundred feet lower than planned. Despite opening after a few hours, Paradise itself wasn't terribly hospitable towards our plans for a photoshoot.
SO, we ended up spending a few hours at Longmire! Normally full of clear, beautiful trails, we took advantage of the snow and nearby deep forests to capture one of the COOLEST theme shoots we've had in a while. It just so happens that Beauty and the Beast is one of Hannah's favorite movies, and so the 4 of us had all sorts of ideas we were itching to try out.
Despite finding (and sinking into) nearly every snow-covered hole in the first, our time together was a blast, and the photos turned out beautifully. Have a look!
