Abandoned Forts and Golden Skies: Ricky & Angela's Engagement Session

August 31, 2015  •  Leave a Comment

It's always a rare honor when one of our friends gets engaged and they choose us to be their wedding photographers. Really, it's an honor when anyone chooses to work with us. Washington is brimming with wedding photographers. We never quite get over the excitement of being chosen to be someone's wedding photographer, and that feeling is even greater when it comes to friends.

But that's only one of the reasons I'm so excited to work with these two. Ricky and Angela? They're explorers. Hikers, runners, the kind of people who go fishing and do fun runs and go climb rocks. Because they can.

WHICH MEANS SHOOTING CRAZY NONSENSE LIKE THIS:

But in all seriousness, we spent an entire afternoon and evening exploring Fort Worden and Port Townsend. The weather was beautiful, the wind a bit crazy, and spirits were high. We explored a bookstore, old ruins, and ate pizza in an old Victorian building in a tiny upstairs restaurant. Sessions like these are high points in my job, and one of the best parts of getting to work with friends.

Thanks for choosing us Ricky and Angela. We love you guys.
