Urban Grace & Creativity: Corey & Lisa's Wedding

Y'ever go back to a place you never thought you'd see again?

I suppose it's kind of a silly assumption for a wedding photographer to have, but I never thought I'd have any reason to go back into Urban Grace. It's a downtown church building that's rented for a variety of other uses. Dance classes, professional meet ups, church meetings, and so forth. I used to attend a church which met there regularly. Years have passed, and I've graduated and moved and married and started my own business. I rarely heard about Urban Grace, and I never had the need to visit—until Corey and Lisa asked us to photograph their wedding there.

I have to say, I was very pleasantly surprised. Corey and Lisa had a grand, creative vision for how they wanted to use the space. Below you'll see a large variety of the handmade decorations, center pieces, and reception stations that they came up with. Not only was their vision beautiful, but the space itself had changed. In the past few years, walls have been painted and carpet has been replaced (with stained wood)Urban Grace has turned into a beautiful site for a wedding ceremony!

If you're looking for some ideas and inspiration for decorations, I would HIGHLY recommend looking through what we've posted here. Corey and Lisa spent hours coordinating vision, color, and theme to bring this all to life. I think you'll really enjoy what they put together.

We love visiting old venues and new venues alike. If you're planning a wedding, contact us today and we'll be happy to schedule a meeting to discuss your vision and photography plans.
