James and Kira were in school on the east coast while planning their Washington wedding (read about their wedding here). While we'd get to meet Kira a week or two before the big day, James wouldn't arrive into town until a few days before the wedding. Instead of stressing over getting their fun, romantic photos before the wedding, or just cancelling the session altogether, they chose to embrace their situation. James and Kira chose a day on their honeymoon, and we all met in Seattle to get some fun newly-married photos. 

If you've ever shot in Seattle, you know that rain can be a problem. We spent some time in Pike Place Market and the nearby shops, but we then spent some time outdoors on Pier 57. Rather than simply putting a damper on our shoot (pun intended), the rain actually added some fun texture and unique character to our shots. And, rainy or not, you could tell James and Kira were having a wonderful time strolling arm in arm, kissing in the middle of crowds, and even dancing to the street music. Take a look!
