Today I thought I'd share about a kind of side project I'm working on. I work with a stock photography website called Lightstock. It focuses on providing stock photos for churches, ministries, or otherwise Christian focused endeavors. (In case you don’t know, stock photos are professional images which you can purchase the rights to use for your own purposes, usually articles and advertisements.) If you've ever been part of a ministry as a graphic designer, web master, or any kind of creative specialist, this place is your dream come true. This last week, we showed you some of our senior sessions. What we didn't get to show you was that we spent about three hours before that with some missionary friends of ours focusing on getting some worship-style photos.

Now, we shot this session entirely using prime lenses and a few Speedlites. It's been a personal goal of mine to improve my skills and understanding of controlled lighting, and using multiple lighting sources in the middle of a forest is a pretty good way to do that.
